TODAY’S OBSERVATION

Some one mentioned to me I should get a city job ( I live in NYC )- that we all need to pull together for the country. So I observed that this may not be the way to contribute to the county, at the moment. We are at over 24 Trillion dollars of national Debt. Every year We pay the interest of this debt to the IRS and the private bank The FEDERAL RESERVE ( and don’t touch the principle). So if I were to get a city job I would be getting a salary that is actually newly written debt. My healthcare and pension will also add to this debt and since We are in Debt and it doesn’t seem We will be paying it off any time soon. I would be adding to children ‘s debt that haven’t took a step in a class room yet. Now that doesn’t mean civil servant jobs aren’t necessary ( fire dept , police, sanitation, some DOT) in a city such as NYC, they are and need to be maintained. It seems downsizing parks department from enforcement to workers taking care of the parks and repeal and get rid of homeland security and their big government unpaid budget seems the responsible move. At least until We can pay our bills or get to a reasonable debt if not actually balance the books. In stead we are creating bigger government with money we don’t have to secure people from being afraid of invisible threats that may or not happen. All the while burying unborn children and kindergardeners in debt. I’ll think the responsible thing for me is to make a go of it freelancing and making money doing small jobs ,if I can get them, gratefully, and not take anything from the government. Not that I’m knocking that for those in a pinch I’m simply trying to avoid this apparent misstep We the People have taken in putting ourselves further in debt and financially burdening the next generation(s). I am no success. I am fortunate to have a couple of friends who are generous with their time and space. So considering the situation I’m doing ok. Corporate Bail outs are not responsible, reasonable and at this point and time basically robbing candy from a babies future (tax burden). Though this is an observation and i always maintain I need to be open to the fact that my perception and understanding of the situation may be wrong and if so act according to the new factors that emerge and act in accord. So this is simply a perception of this situation. We shall see…
